Schedule Worker Attribute Changes with an Effective Date
Enter a worker attribute change today and choose the date it takes effect.
Editing a worker attribute applied the new value right away. Scheduling a future change, like a raise from the first of next month, meant building helper attributes, a date segment and an automation for each attribute.
What's new
Pick an effective date while editing — on a worker's Attributes tab, add an optional effective date to an attribute change and select Schedule change. Leave the date empty to apply the change immediately.
See and cancel pending changes — the current value stays in place, and a notice shows the new value and its effective date, with a Cancel change action.
Applied automatically — changes take effect at midnight in the company's time zone on the chosen date.
Current value everywhere until then — segments, automations, exports and the activity log keep using the current value until the change applies.
Core fields through the API — pay rate, home address and employment status can be scheduled through the API.
Why it matters
HR teams plan a change once, in the place they already edit it, and downstream processes act on the new value only when it is due.
What to expect
The earliest effective date is tomorrow, and each attribute can have one pending change at a time; scheduling a new one replaces it. Editing the attribute directly cancels a pending change.
